Vein or Vane?

Your choice!

Exemple : ‘’Despite being told to change his behaviour he continued in the same vein.’’

"Vein" and "vane" are commonly misused. The noun "vein" can be used both to denote the vessel which carries blood arond the body as well as to express "a temporary mood."

Exemple : ‘’The vane on the fan is broken.’’

The word "vane" is most commonly found within the word "weathervane," which is used to denote a metal object which is placed on the top of high buildings in order to judge from which direction the wind is blowing.
