Stair or Stare?
Exemple : ‘’I would suggest you take the lift as the stair is very dark.’’
"Stair" and "stare" are homonyms and thus can be mixed up despite having very different uses. "Stair" is a noun which denotes a set of steps.
Exemple : ‘’It is rude to stare at people!’’
"Stare" is a verb meaning to look at something for a very long time.
