Precede
Exemple : ‘’It would be helpful if you precede the article with an abstract.’’
“Precede” and “Proceed” can be easily confused. The word “precede” is a verb meaning to go before something else.
Proceed
Exemple : ‘’Passengers should proceed to Gate 2 for boarding.’’
“Proceed” is also a verb meaning to continue with something as has been planned.
