The words "medal" and "meddle" are homonyms and consequently are often mixed up. "Medal" is a noun which refers to a small metal disc which is won in competitions.
Meddle
Exemple : ‘’I hate when other people meddle in my business.’’
'Meddle" is a verb which denotes the act of having too much interest in the affairs of another person and trying to influence them, generally in a critical or rude manner.
