The words “leave” and “leaf” are very commonly confused although they have completely different uses. To “leave” is a verb meaning to depart.
Leaf
Exemple : ‘’I found a leaf stuck to my shoe when I returned from my walk.’’
“Leaf” is a noun denoting something which grows on the branches of trees.
