Gate or Gait?
Exemple : ‘’I can see the postman about to come in my gate.’’
The words "gate" and "gait" are homonyms and this causes confusion. A "gate" is a part of a fence which opens in the same way as a door.
Exemple : ‘’My grandfather walks with a very stiff gait.’’
"Gait" is used as a noun in order to describe a particular way of walking and is also commonly used in relation to horses and the way in which they walk.
