Fewer
Exemple : ‘’Fewer than twenty people are able to come to my party.’’
“Fewer” and “less” are often confused as people are unclear regarding the usage of each. “Fewer” should be used when referring to people or things in plural form.
Less
Exemple : ‘’I would like to spend less time working!’’
“Less” should be employed when referring either to something which in uncountable or to something which does not have a plural form, for example “time” or “money.”
