“Enquire” and “inquire” are commonly confused to to their spellings and their similar meanings make them even more susceptible to confusion. To “enquire” generally relates to asking something fairly simple and ordinary.
Inquire
Exemple : ‘’The police had to inquire as to where the man was last seen.’’
To “inquire” relates to asking about something much more important or serious and is often related to “investigations.”
