Elephant or Elefant?

Exemple : ‘’I saw an elephant whilst on safari in Africa.’’

The word “elephant” is often spelt wrongly due to the “ph” in the middle of the word which is commonly mistaken for an “f” due to the sound of the word when it is spoken.
