Edition or Addition?
Exemple : ‘’This is the fourth edition of the magazine. ’’
The words "edition" and "addition" can be easily confused as they sound very similar. They do, however, have different meanings. "Edition" is a noun which relates primarily to the media sector. It denotes a particular copy of a magazine or a particular broadcasting of a television programme and is often preceded by an ordinal number.
Exemple : ‘’I find the addition of large numbers very difficult.’’
"Addition" is a noun which relates to the process of adding numbers together in mathematics. When preceded by the word "in" it can also be used as a synonym of "as well as."
