Detract or Distract?
Exemple : ‘’The mistakes do not detract from the overall message of your presentation.’’
The words "detract" and "distract" are often confused. "Detract" is a verb which is used to convey the act of making something less valuable.
Exemple : ‘’My friends often distract me in class.’’
"Distract" is a verb which is used to mean to stop giving ones full attention to something.
