Not sure how to spell a word? Hesitate no longer.

Continual or Continuous?

Your choice!

Exemple : ‘’The war was long and continual.’’

The words "continual" and "continuous" are almost synonyms although there are subtle differences between the two. "Continual" is used more in the sense of time.

Exemple : ‘’There is a continuous row of houses along the waterfront.’’

"Continuous" is used much more commonly than "continuous" and can be used to refer both to time as well to space.
