The word "Chile" and "chilli" are often mixed up. "Chile" is the name of a South American country.
Chilli
Exemple : ‘’One of my favourite meals is chilli con carne.’’
"Chilli" can be used as a shortening of the Mexican dish chilli con carne as well as to denote the spice.
