Not sure how to spell a word? Hesitate no longer.

Beside or Besides?

Your choice!

Exemple : ‘’I was standing beside your friend at the bus stop this morning.’’

“Beside” and “besides” are both used but in different situations. “Beside” is a preposition used as a synonym of “at the side of” or “next to."

Exemple : ‘’Can you make any other cakes besides chocolate?’’

“Besides” is used as both an adverb and preposition meaning “as well as” or “also.”
