The words "adopt" and "adapt" are often confused. "Adopt" is a verb denoting the act of legally becoming the guardian of a child who is not your own.
Adapt
Exemple : ‘’It is important to be able to adapt to different situations.’’
"Adapt" is also a verb and is similar in meaning to the verb "change." It relates specifically to the act of purposefully changing something in order to meet different requirements needed in varying situations.
