The words "remainder" and "reminder" are often confused due to their very similar spellings. However, they are not related and have different meanings. "Remainder" is a noun which denotes a part of something which is left over or spare.
Reminder
Exemple : ‘’I set a reminder on my phone so I wouldn't forget!’’
"Reminder" is also a noun but is used to denote something which is used in order to help someone remember something.
