Poll or Pole?

The words "poll" are "pole" are often confused due to the fact that they are homonyms. "Poll" is a noun which is used to denote a survey or questionnaire in which people are asked for their opinions on something.
Exemple : ‘’There is an electricity pole right outside my house.’’
"Pole" is also a noun but it is used to denote a long and thin object which is generally used in order to hold something up.
