Carrot or Carat ?

The words "carrot" and "carat" are often mixed up. "Carrot" is a noun referring to the orange vegetable which grows in the ground.
Exemple : ‘’I bought a ten carat diamond ring.’’
"Carat" is a word used in relation to precious materials such as diamonds and gold in order to classify them by weight.
